PULS

The Poznań University of Life Sciences (PULS) is a leading university of life sciences in Poland. It has over 8 000 students, and 1500 employees, including 800 academic teachers. It is divided into six faculties which offer a wide scope of education within 25 fields of study and over 30 specialisations, including Economics, Agriculture, Forestry, or Animal Science. PULS provides education within a 3-level system: I) studies for the degree of Engineer or undergraduate (bachelor) studies, II) graduate studies ending with a Master's degree, and III) doctoral studies (PhD). All the faculties have an extensive offer of postgraduate studies.

Faculty of Economics (FE) is the youngest one. It offers bachelor studies in Economics and Finances and Accounting, Master’s degree in Economics. MSc studies in Agri-food Economics and Trade are also offered for international students. Faculty runs Postdoctoral studies in Economics as well.

The courses focus on broadening students’ knowledge and understanding of economic processes and the rules of effective resource management in that scope. The teaching process focuses on transferring knowledge and equipping students with skills related to economic and social issues. In the course of conducted classes in agricultural, food and environmental law, students acquire not only theoretical knowledge, but also the ability to solve legal problems in small current issues of everyday life in rural areas and in rural areas. The knowledge they possess, which cannot be obtained in unprofiled universities, equips them with the knowledge and competences needed in the labour market, mainly in the agri-food sector.

The faculty is known for the research in the field of agricultural economics, regional and social policy in rural areas, international business, agricultural, food and environmental law, production and management in agribusiness companies and food safety and security.
